Are you wondering about taking my mixed media online portrait class? Feedback has been incredibly positive and I am awed by the art created by my students!.I think it's wonderful to offer unlimited access to the video also -and the facebook group has been interactive and fun!
In this class you will learn how to create a mixed media masterpiece of your own in a few easy steps. I will guide you through each step ,and introduce you to the materials I use in this project. You will be able to interpret for yourself -by using your own reference material - a unique expressive painting which can be created using wood or canvas substrate. I will illustrate some basic collage /mixed media principles and the concept of layering in your work. I will also encourage you to play ..:-)
Many of us have old family photographs or collections of memorabilia, ephemera which we wonder how to incorporate into our art.
The good news is you do not require a wide array of expensive materials to try this project..
(You also do not need to draw like Da Vinci to express yourself with this class!)
This portrait can be a fun personal project or a creative prompt for the perfect gift which is both sentimental and timeless. I am encouraging you to interpret this project rather than copy it exactly..as I feel it's important to express yourself and use this class as a springboard to making your own wonderful art.
