Finally a little breathing time to take notice of the lovely country view, walk on freshly cut grass ,watch the chickens dirt bathing and jostling for position among themselves, and the pot belly pig brothers swaying as they stroll and munch on the greenery. Summer is short here. I must remind myself to take note and appreciate the moments!
I have an outdoor art show called "Artsburg" coming up in three weeks and a class in August at the Southampton Art school..and other than that I am enjoying the making of art -and the short in between time I have to "smell the roses" (or in my case the peonies!)
Ever so often I have to shake things up and I have been experimenting with abstracts on canvas...
It's been so liberating ..once I get past the urge to add a figure or face ! :-)
Well as ever so typical here it has dived into summer heat from snow..The creative corner of my life does not seem to take a pause ,..which is good..very good.. So despite the jump in temperature which leads me to think of outdoors and Spring /summer clean up I continue to make art in my studio -my little fan spinning madly..
yet life goes on at home and there is usually someone's needs to attend to!..
"Wild Thing' is my newest exhibit in Walkerton Ontario.. not far from my studio
and i have been working on a few more with a touch of the wild also..
a visit from a friend who took this photo outside my studio....
